Thirty years of professional experience came before it. Two years of intensive training led up to it. Then, in 2013, two days of elite competition in Paris put it to the test. Ruth Hinks represented the UK at the World Chocolate Masters Final, one of 20 national champions from around the world.
She finished Top 5 in the world, ahead of the French and Belgian national champions. Ruth’s Top 5 finish remains the highest-ever result for a UK chocolatier.
Five chocolates in this collection featured in Ruth’s World Chocolate Masters entries: Morello Cherry, Muscat Wine Ganache, Passionfruit Caramel, Raspberry Pâte de Fruit and Yuzu & Pink Peppercorn. This is not simply a collection inspired by the competition. It contains chocolates that helped deliver that result.
